International Certification for JFC Manufacturing

  JFC Certification

Photo (Left to right) Pictured at the Presentation of the BBA & WRc awards were Eric Williamson (UK Sales), Dermot O’Brien (JFC Design Engineer), Alan Thomas (BBA Sales & Marketing Director), Colm Concannon (JFC Director), Kevin Adams (Water Research Council) and Mark Perry (UK Sales Manager).

Innovative building products and services were on show at “Civils 2008” show ~ Earls Court London from 18th - 20th November, one of Europe’s leading Construction Industry showcases.

JFC were among over 200 exhibitors at Civils 2008, the UK’s largest exhibition serving the Construction industry. Every aspect of the civil engineering industry was represented at the exhibition and JFC were delighted to be part of such a successful exhibition supported by the Institute of Civil Engineers.

JFC have always been renowned for its innovative designs and ideas, and this year at Civils 2008 JFC officially launched the “JFC HydroChamber System” which is a Stormwater Management System that reduces the risk of flooding on new developments caused by global climate change and increased rainfall. It is designed to store and attenuate Stormwater runoff from roofs and hard surfaces i.e. truck/car parks etc. The system can be installed under both heavily and lightly trafficked areas as well as non trafficked amenity areas. The concept of providing storage and attenuation of Stormwater is now a stringent requirement by all planning authorities. The scale of these underground tanks vary depending on the size of the actual development but typically developers are required to provide one cubic meter of storage (1000 litres) for every 40 -60 metre squared of hard surface area.

The JFC HydroChamber system offers many advantages over traditional systems including superior structural integrity, unique silt management system, faster installation times, stackable design requiring less storage space, and is more cost effective. In addition to this it is the only Stormwater management system to have received both WRc (Water Research Council) approval and BBA (British Board of Agreement) certification which is another endorsement of JFC’s continuing commitment to adding value to its comprehensive range of product and service package. Innovation has always been at the heart of what JFC is about.

“This achievement reflects our commitment to the highest levels of manufacturing excellence,' said John Concannon (Managing Director). “The certification means that our quality management system assures the integrity of our processes and it reinforces the confidence that our customers have placed in us to deliver products that meet or exceed their exacting requirements”

JFC are a leading plastics manufacturer with 21 years experience and supply the following industry sectors: civils, construction, recycling, marine, agriculture and materials handling.
